The Google Earth photo was taken about

February of 2007. It was such a dry winter that the slope to the west (left) hasn't even greened up. No burning is allowed  in either fireplace  when the grass is not green on the hills.

 

The house is pretty remote. Nicknamed "Go Away Ranch". Hike across to the pasture or down into the trees toward Bear Creek.

 

There is a house about 1000 feet to the east of us, and one about 300 feet beyond that.
